    Blah, Blah
Rain, Rain go away. Come again another day, or not. It seems like it has done nothing, but rain all summer. Oh wait, it has. This sucks. Oh well, off to work. At least, this is technically my Thursday, instead of Monday. I took off Wednesday thru Friday for some much needed rest. Bring on my extra long weekend :)

    Mr. 3,002
Man, awesome Astros game last night. Craig Biggio hit his 3,000 run which was neat, but then at the very end when all hope was almost gone a grand slam won the Astros the game. Why do I always miss the good stuff??? Oh, well at least we saw it in high-def :)

    I Am A Free Woman
Went to court yesterday for my car accident/ ticket I got awhile back. The accusation: I ran a red light and caused a car accident. The verdict: CASE DISMISSED!! Yeah. The woman actually showed up because she had been summoned. The judge looked at her and goes, "Did your car get fixed?" She replied, "Yes." To which the judge replies, "So why are you here?" She showed her summons. The judge explained that usually no one pursues these cases unless the person charged (me) is uninsured and needs it to get their car fixed (so they can later sue in a civil case and recover some damages). The judge then asked her if she did what to pursue. She said "No" to which then my case was dismissed. Thank goodness for small things. Yes, my insurance still went up, but at least I still don't have a ticket on my record. This calls for celebration (and thank god it is almost the weekend).
Speaking of weekends, I had a blast last weekend. Shannon and Chris came over and we (including of course hubby) just had a great time visiting. Small get togethers are so fun.

    It's the BIG Party Time
New Year's Eve is fast approaching!!!!!! What the hell are all of my friends doing that night? John and I are thinking of #'s, but are open to any other suggestions or ideas. Let's get the party started!!

PS For those keeping up, John and I had a great time in Seattle. Work is going a-okay (hey it pays the bills and then some, what more can you ask), my car is finally in one beautiful piece after a mere $7000 in repairs (thank-god for full coverage insurance), John and I are great (going on 4 beautiful years of marriage), doggies are fine and yes, I hit the big 2-5. God damn, I am halfway to fifty... Better party while I can:)

New Phone, New Job and Other Random Shit
Well, after two long years I retired my old phone and got a new Samsung A900 Powervison phone. It can play mp3s, take pictures, plays videos as clear as tv and has blue tooth capabilties (among the other things it does). It is pretty nifty. Don't worry, same phone number for all those trying to contact me :P
Also, I have successfully completed my second full week at my new job. I really like it. Better pay, interesting patients, and new "friendly" co-workers. The only thing that completly sucks ass is the hour long commute in the mornings and afternoons to the Galleria area. God, I didn't realize how many people there are in Houston all trying to get to the same place I am. I have come to loathe I59. Oh well, the money makes it worth it!
Just got back from the Houston Texans season opener. All I have to say is at least they played better than last year for part of the game. If we could keep up the spirit of the first quarter throughout the entire game, we would have won!! Oh well, it was only one game. We have a whole season of fun ahead of us.

Edit: I have just been informed that 59 is not an interstate, it is a a highway. I speak of US 59, not I59. So sorry for the utter confusion :)

    And then there was Amsterdam......
So John and I just got back home from an amazing European vacation. We drank in the pubs in London, we kissed on top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, stood next to the Mona Lisa in the Louve to name just a few things....and then there was Amsterdam. Need I say what we did there. Let me just quickly say a) a coffeeshop in Amsterdam sells a hell of a lot more than just coffee, but you WILL need some coffee later (that shit is strong) ;) and b)that city is insane. Take Bourbon street in New Orleans and multiply it by a million. There are just hordes of people everywhere having a good time. It was AMAZING. Well, pictures and stories to come when I am not so God damned jetlagged.

Taking a Step Back..(Or Trying To, At Least)
Sorry, John and I didn't make it out last night, as orignally planned. Friday afternoon, I had a podiatrist's appointment to cut open and drain an absecess that had formed on my foot (yeah, I know...very gross). I wasn't aware it would be so painful when suggesting to everyone we would go out on Friday (plus I REALLY wanted to go out and have some fun!). My doctor recommended I stay off my foot for 24-48 hours and I have been taking viocdin for the pain. So, needless to say, I wasn't able to go out. And John being the wonderful husband he is, has been nursing my poor whacked out self to health. What I would do without him, I still don't know. Anyways, hopefully school won't be terribly stressful and John and I will still be able to make it out a few times during my coming up summer semester of school (I am taking Biology..yucky!).

    The Big Oh-No....
So, statistically a person gets in a car wreck every seven years or so, and technically I was well overdue. Today, while driving down I59 (near downtown at the Gray exit) which, of course at rush hour is always stop and go traffic, I stopped, but the person behind me didn't and rear ended my now, not new car. Luckily, it really wasn't bad. A little paint is scratched off and a small indentation from the guy's license plate, but from far off you can't even tell. The guy gave me $400 cash and his info in case it cost more money, but didn't want the cops called because he claimed he "forgot" his insurance. John, after looking at it, said its not that bad and the $400 will probably cover it. All and all, it really wasn't that bad and lets pray that takes care of my accident for the next seven years or so.

    Happy Freakin' Fourth
Thanks to this grand country's birthday, I have a reason to get off from work, set off firecrackers and eat watermelon, hot dogs and fried chicken. Hell yeah, sounds like a good plan. Side note...thanks to the day off from work, I was able to go out last night with good friends and had a great time. I even have the nasty hangover to prove it. Oh well, its worth it. Happy Birthday, USA!

    Requested Post....I Think
Okay, quite a few of my friends here have been doing that post where you say ten things to ten different friends, but don't name names. Many of them have made a comment to someone...."you never post" or "I know you have more to say, post more often.." Since I hardly ever post, I almost feel like they are all talking to me (or maybe I am just conceited and really none of them are about me). Either way, I will make it a point to post more often. Hmm, great, now what to post about....More later, I guess.

    Woo-Hoo!!!!!!
Okay, after attending the two previous NIN concerts at Verizon Wireless and the Toyota Center, I wasn't expecting much going to last night's show at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion. Man, was I wrong. I think last night's show was the best of all three. John and I were down in front (yes in the moshing area, but that was kept down to a minimum, mostly it was just REALLY CLOSE and people wanting to enjoy the show like us!!). Trent played a lot of his besta material (I think) along with his new stuff. I was so close I got a few good pictures with my crappy camera phone (and we all know you have to be close to get a good picture with those). I will try to get John to upload them here later (cause we all know I don't know diddly squat about computer stuff, I just learned how to burn a CD a week ago :P )Anyways, here it is Monday morning and I am exhausted, feet blistred and bruised, achy (from all the jumping and dancing), and I have no voice at all, but hell yeah I had a GREAT time and wouldn't change it for the world!!!!!

    Sunshiney Weekend...
So NIN is on Sunday and John and I will be getting our asses on up to the Woodlands (I think that is where it is), but besides that, anything else fun going on this weekend?

Sorry to All Those Who Care....
I know that I have been a recluse lately. When it is John wanting to get out and do more (usually its me encouraging us to go out a party and have fun with friends) you know we have't been getting out much. With work and school piling up, I felt the need to step back for a bit, but I still love ya all, and with Spring Break this week, we may be able to get out and do something fun!!! Yeah. After break is over though, you may not see me again for a few weeks until semester ends, just a heads up. I love ya all and hope to see you soon!!!

    Go, Seahawks, Go
Being a native Washingtonian, all my cheering and yelling during the NFL play-offs is rooting on the Seattle Seahawks (since the Texans didn't make the cut this year). Watch out Carolina, we are taking it all the way to the Superbowl. Woot, Woot!!
